Enterprise Infrastructure v1.1

The CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure (v1.1) Lab Exam is an eight-hour, hands-on exam that requires us to plan, design, operate, and optimize dual-stack solutions (IPv4 and IPv6) for complex enterprise networks.

I’ve have copied the blueprint of the the exam topics that Cisco has posted on areas to study. So now we just need to get some content! Within each section I’ll write about that topic. The goal for me is to use this as a study tool while at the same time being a resource.

Labs

If it makes sense within a topic, I’ll create some labs within Cisco_CML repository. Each lab will have a requirements section which will tell you what is required to run this lab. Most of if not all of these will be running with Cisco Modeling Labs. (That’s the general plan.)

Software

I’m using the Cisco Modeling Labs software and I’m running this in Hyper-V. So you need to have Windows 11 Pro if you want to go the Hyper-V route. Although as of right now its not officially supported it works for the most part. I don’t have deal with some of the new Windows 11 virtualization hiccups if you run this on VMware Workstation.

Hardware

The type of hardware I’m running on for Cisco CML is 64GB of RAM and using an Intel 13th Gen processor with 16 cores. I’m going to guess that most things will work for CCIE studies however if I run into something were this does’nt cut it I’ll note that in the requirements section of the lab.
